Clothes in Spanish

Hoy hablamos de la ropa.

We use ‘llevar‘ to say what do you wear on. Here is the present tense of verb llevar.

- ¿Qué ropa llevas?
- Hoy llevo una camiseta blanca, una chaqueta negra, un pantalón azul y unos zapatos de tacón.

You can also use: ‘llevar puesto’ than means the same that ‘llevar’. The word puesto have to agree in gender and number with the noun place after it.

-Llevo puesto un pantalón, llevo puestos unos pantalones, llevo puesta una chaqueta, llevo puestas unas botas.

-¿Qué llevas puesto? o ¿Qué ropa llevas puesta?
- Llevo puesto un abrigo rojo.

Los colores en español

Colors are adjetives. You know that in Spanish,   adjetives must agreed in gender and number with the noun that goes with.  Let me show you some examples:

El gato negro
Los gatos negros

La gata negra
Las gatas negras

Look at each color in masculine and feminine, singular and plural:

Black – Negro – negra – negros – negras
Green – verde-verdes
White – blanco – blanca – blancos – blancas
Pink – rosa – rosas
Red – rojo – roja – rojos – rojas
Grey – gris – grises
Brown – marrón – marrones
Yellow – amarillo – amarilla – amarillos – amarillas
Blue – azul – azúles
Orange – naranja – naranjas
